- Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has notified the FSSAI (Finance) Regulations, 2023 to maintain a Food Safety and Standards Authority of India Fund.
- This fund will include grants given to the food authority by the Central government among others. This will be audited by the Comptroller and Auditor General annually.
- There will be a Finance Committee. The Chairman of the committee will be Executive Director-Finance of FSSAI (incumbent: Sharad Aggarwal).
- The committee will have a representative from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and two members nominated by the FSSAI among others.

- In terms of state, Uttar Pradesh ranked top buyer of MSME goods worth Rs 9,642 crore through GeM in 2022.

- PM- Programme for Restoration, Awareness, Nourishment, and Amelioration of Mother Earth (PM-PRANAM) has been launched by Central Government to promote alternatives to fertilizers.
- PM PRANAM was launched under the GOBAR (Galvanizing Organic Bio-Agro Resources) Dhan Scheme.
- 500 new “waste to wealth” plants will be established under the GOBAR Dhan scheme in 2023-24. Of these, 200 will be Compressed Biogas plants and 300 will be cluster-based plants.
- A total of Rs 10,000 crores has been allocated for this scheme.

- A new sub-scheme of PM Matsya Sampada Yojana will also be launched with a targeted investment of Rs 6,000 crores to further enable activities of fishermen, fish vendors, and micro & small enterprises, improve value chain efficiencies, and expand the market.

- Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan launched the Ladli Behna Scheme to provide Rs 1,000 per month to women from financially poor background in the state.
- A sum of Rs 60,000 crore will be spent on this scheme in five years.
- Kerala Government launched the Enterprises Campaign during its 2022-23 budget. The Campaign was organized under the tagline of “My Enterprises, Nations Pride”.
