- Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) has released the “Road accidents in India- 2021”.
- The total number of road accidents in 2021 across India stood at 4,12,432. Of these, 1,53,972 people lost their lives and 3,84,448 people faced injuries.
- Over 19,400 road accidents reported due to loss of control by the driver in 2021. The main reasons for the mishap included high speed and distraction or misjudgement of a turn by the driver.
- Ministry of Railways has launched a new policy “Amrit Bharat Station” scheme for modernization of railway stations.
- Objective: To prepare Master Plans of the Railway stations and implement Master Plan in phases to enhance the facilities including and beyond Minimum Essential Amenities.
- Coverage: It envisages infrastructural development of more than 1,000 stations.

- The overall export of Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) products increased to USD 17.43 billion during April-November 2022 from USD 15.07 billion over the same period of the last fiscal.
