      • This Cyberdrill is intended for Indian entities especially Critical Network Infrastructure operators.
  2. Central govt has formed a 3-member committee to review the criteria for 10% reservation for economically weaker sections (EWS) in educational institutions and government jobs.
      • The panel includes former finance secretary Ajay Bhushan Pandey, Indian Council of Social Science Research member secretary Prof VK Malhotra and principal economic advisor Sanjeev Sanyal.
      • The committee has been asked to submit its report in three weeks.

  1. NITI Aayog has released the Online Dispute Resolution report named as ‘Designing the Future of Dispute Resolution: The ODR Policy Plan for India’.
      • The report provides ways to scale up dispute avoidance, containment and resolution online.
      • The report has been prepared by NITI Aayog committee chaired by Supreme Court Justice (Retd) AK Sikri.
      • The report recommends measures at three levels to tackle challenges in adopting ODR framework in India.
      • At the structural level, it suggests actions to increase digital literacy, improve access to digital infrastructure and train professionals as neutrals to deliver ODR services.
      • At the behavioural level, the report recommends adoption of ODR to address disputes involving Government departments and ministries.
      • At the regulatory level, the report recommends a soft-touch approach to regulate ODR platforms and services.
  2. Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) has released the list of Top 100 arms companies in 2020.
      • Top 3 – Lockheed Martin, Raytheon Technologies, and Boeing
      • Top Indian Companies – HAL (rank – 42), Ordnance Factory Board (rank -60), Bharat Electronics Ltd. (rank – 66)
      • Combined arms sales by the three Indian companies in the Top 100 grew by 7% in 2020, in comparison to 2019.
      • USA has the highest number of companies ranked in the Top 100, which accounts for 54% of the Top 100’s total arms sales.

  1. Punjab National Bank (PNB) will invest as a promoter in Open Network for Digital Commerce by picking up over 9% stake in the company, which is yet to be incorporated.
      • Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) Ltd is being established with a mandate to develop an open network for digital commerce.
  2. Online bus ticketing platform redBus has forayed into rail ticketing — in collaboration with IRCTC — with the launch of redRail.
  3. Agriculture-focussed NBFC Agriwise has partnered with Central Bank of India for co-lending to the farming sector.

      • This is the first of its kind collaboration between UIL and SBI for empowering women entrepreneurs in rural areas.
      • This collaboration between SBI and UIL has been named as ‘NAVCHETNA’. UIL has already been providing necessary training to these women through USHA Silai Schools across the country.
  5. India and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) has signed a $125 million loan to improve access to safe and affordable drinking water supply and citywide inclusive sanitation services in Dehradun and Nainital cities of Uttarakhand.
