  1. Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma launched Mukhya Mantri Lok Sewak Arogya Yojana, an online medical bill reimbursement scheme for government employees, pensioners, and their dependents.
      • Under this initiative, medical bills shall be reimbursed at rates equivalent to that of Central Government Health Schemes (CGHS) and these shall be credited directly towards the accounts of the claimant employees within a stipulated time frame.
      • From October 2, 2024, treatments under the scheme at leading hospitals across the country shall also be made cashless.

  2. The Indian Oil Corporation (IOCL) has set up joint ventures with EverEnviro Resource Management Pvt Ltd and GPS Renewables Pvt Ltd for setting up compressed biogas (CBG) plants.
      • The board of directors approved the formation of 50:50 joint venture company in India between EverEnviro Resource Management Pvt. Ltd. for setting up of compressed biogas plants.
        • It will be done through Indian Oil (wholly owned subsidiary of IOCL).
      • Similarly, the joint venture with GPS Renewables will also be formed with IOCL or a subsidiary of the company.
      • Both these companies are based in India.

Memorandum of Understanding

  1. Warehousing Development Regulatory Authority (WDRA) has signed an MoU with Bank of India to fund against e-NWRs (electronic negotiable warehouse receipts) to provide low-interest rate loans to farmers and traders.

• WDRA has also setup two repositories, namely, M/s National Electronic Repository Limited (NERL) and CDSL Commodity Repository Limited (CCRL) for creation and management of electronic Negotiable Warehouse Receipts (e-NWRs).
• Both the repositories and the portal started functioning w.e.f. 2017
• All registered warehouses are mandated to issue only e-NWRs w.e.f., 1st August 2019.
• The e-NWR has been integrated with e-National Agriculture Market (e-NAM) platform by providing interface between e-NAM and repositories.
