      • These tests will be mandatory for the batteries developed under the PLI Scheme for Advanced Chemistry Cell.
      • The tests will be done at 3 levels – battery pack, battery management system, and battery cell level.

      • The event was conducted to help Officer Trainees learn how to leverage technological solutions to strengthen Public Service delivery and make the last mile delivery transparent, effective and efficient.

  1. Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan has launched ‘Ladli Laxmi 2.0’ financial assistance scheme to encourage girls to pursue higher education and make them independent.
      • Shivraj Singh Chouhan launched the ‘Ladli Laxmi’ scheme in 2007.
      • The scheme provides monetary benefits to eligible girl children to ensure they get a good education and change the perspective of society towards the birth of the girl’s child.
      • ‘Ladli Laxmi Vatika’ (garden) is being developed in each district of the state and saplings have been planted at one such facility in the state capital along with some beneficiary girls.

  1. Union Rural Development Ministry has signed an agreement with Patanjali Ayurved for marketing products made by women’s self-help groups.
      • Patanjali will do co-branding of the products made by women SHGs, market them at its stores and thorough its networks of dealers and will also give them opportunity to get the company’s dealership and distributorship, as per the agreement.

  1. Ministry of Education has released the “Unified District Information System for Education Plus” (UDISE+) report for 2021-22.
      • Department of School Education Literacy has developed the UDISE+ system with many unique features and introduced it from the reference year 2018-19.
      • Total enrolment of all the schools in the UDISE+ system from pre-primary to higher secondary, have crossed 26.52 Crore in 2021-22.
      • Gender Parity Index (GPI) of Gross Enrolment Ratio (GER) shows whether the representation of females in school education is in line with representation of girls in population of corresponding age group.
      • The GER for secondary has reached 79.6% in 2021-22, from 76.9% in 2018-19. GER at higher secondary level has also shown improvement as it reached 57.6% in 2021-22. e GER at primary level was increased to 104.8% in 2021-22.

  • Inter-State Disparity – The maximum and minimum scores obtained by State in 2020-21 are 928 and 669 The deviation between the maximum and minimum scores obtained by States is 259 or 39%, of the minimum points. This disparity was 51 % in 2017-18.
  • In 2020-21, a total of 7 States/UTs reached Level II (score 901– 950) up from 5 States/UTs in 2019-20 and no State/UT in Level 2 till 2018-19.

  1. Chqbook, a neo-bank for small business owners, has launched a zero-balanced digital current account, in partnership with NSDL Payments Bank, for small business owners.
      • The current account is available in eight languages making it more accessible and easier to understand.
      • A current account for business, therefore, allows for deposits, withdrawals and accepts UPI transactions.
  2. Asian Development Bank (ADB) will fund its farm efficiency initiative of Smartchem Technologies Limited (STL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Deepak Fertilisers and Petrochemicals Corporation (DFPCL), through a USD 30 million loan facility.
      • The loan facility will be for a tenure of 5 years.
      • This is ADB’s first agribusiness “Blue Loan”, and the first such blue loan in India in this sector across institutions.
      • ADB has also given approval for a technical assistance grant of USD 5,00,000 for building capacity for Soil Nutrition Management among Smallholder Farmers and Climate Resilience in India. The grant is in addition to the financing of USD 30 million (Blue loan).
