Russia Deputy PM Visits India For Talks

    • India–Russia Strategic Partnership was signed in 2000 and upgraded in 2010.
    • The India-Russia Intergovernmental Commission (IRIGC) serves as the main mechanism to manage this cooperation through two of its divisions: Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technological and Cultural Cooperation (IRIGC-TEC) and Military and Military-Technical Cooperation (IRIGC-M&MTC).
    • The 2+2 Dialogue format, launched in 2021, strengthens coordinated policymaking by bringing together the Defence and Foreign Affairs Ministers of both countries.
