2. Bills passed by the Lok Sabha –
   • New Delhi International Arbitration Centre (Amendment) Bill, 2022 to rename the New Delhi International Arbitration Centre as the India International Arbitration Centre.
   • Energy Conservation (Amendment) Bill, 2022 – for establishing the carbon credit markets and bring large residential buildings under the energy conservation regime.
     • The Bill mandates the use of non-fossil sources, including green hydrogen, green ammonia, biomass and ethanol, for energy and feedstock.
     • The Bill amended the Energy Conservation Act, 2001 to enhance the scope of the Energy Conservation Building Code, amend penalty provisions and increase number of members in the governing council of the Bureau of Energy Efficiency.

   • Now, the total number of districts in the state stands at 26.
3. Telangana CM K Chandrashekhar Rao has launched the first-of-its-kind Nethanna Bima scheme (insurance scheme for the weavers).
   • This scheme will provide ₹5 lakh insurance cover to the weavers’ families in case of the unfortunate death of an eligible beneficiary.
   • Telangana government has partnered with Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) of India for the scheme.
   • The state department of handlooms and textiles is the nodal agency for its implementation.
   • At present, 5% GST is levied on the handloom sector.
4. PARVAZ is a market linkage scheme in Jammu and Kashmir for the shipment of agriculture and horticulture perishables through air cargo.
   • Jammu & Kashmir Horticultural Produce Marketing and Processing Corporation (JKHPMC) is the implementing agency of the scheme.
   • Farmers get the price of their produce directly in their bank account with no intermediary in between.
   • Under the scheme, government will provide a subsidy of 25% on freight charges, in a bid to carry perishable fruits through Air Cargo.

1. Army Design Bureau (ADB) has signed an MOU with Drone Federation of India (DFI) to develop high-impact drones for Indian soldiers.
   • ADB and DFI will organize “Indian Army’s Him-Drone-a-thon” event, as part of their collaboration.
   • DFI is an industry body that has Asteria Aerospace, Quidich Innovation Labs, AutoMicroUAS, Aarav Unmanned Systems and Indrones as its members.
2. 13th edition of the “Vajra Prahar” exercise of the Special Forces started at the Special Forces Training School (SFTS), Bakloh in Himachal Pradesh.

1. Intellecap and Transform Rural India Foundation (TRIF) have launched the National Carbon Finance Platform for creating awareness among the smallholder farmers about sustainable agro-forestry, climate smart agriculture and other activities.
   • The platform will help in leveraging climate/carbon finance for sustainable agricultural practices that can result in carbon sequestration and mitigation.
   • The platform will provide finances for enhancing technical capacity to design and implement high-quality carbon projects at scale.
   • The global voluntary carbon market is expected to be worth $200 billion by 2050.
2. Union Bank of India has launched Uni-Verse–Metaverse Virtual Lounge & Open Banking Sandbox environment.
   • The bank has also set “RACE” as its aim for 2022.
3. Indian Bank has signed an MoU with SRM University, Andhra Pradesh to provide loans of up to Rs 50 crores to startups incubated by Hatchlab Research Centre (an incubator) of the University.
   • The funding will be given under the IND-Spring Board initiative of the Indian Bank.
