1. India has launched National Framework for Climate Services (NCFS), its maiden national-level framework towards providing climate services and information.
   • The program is led by India Meteorological Department.
   • Objectives–
   • To bring a seamless working platform for users of climate information and services,
   • To help decide and mitigate climate risks for key sectors — agriculture, energy, disaster management, health and water.
   • NFCS is based on The Global Framework for Climate Services (GFCS).
   • Nodal Agency – India Meteorological Department (IMD).

2. Ministry of Culture organized curtain raiser and logo launch for India Art Architecture Design Biennale (IAADB).
   • The event was held at the National Gallery of Modern Art, Delhi.
   • IAADB is scheduled to be held in December 2023 with events scheduled in Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru.
   • About IAADB –
   • The objective of IAADB is to bring traditional grassroots artists and contemporary designers, curators, architects, and thought leaders to the forefront, transcending age, gender, and genre boundaries.

3. The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has started preparing for the flight test for Gaganyaan mission and Vehicle Abort Mission 1 (TV-D1) for the Gaganyaan mission.
   • About the flight test-
   • The test involves launching a crew module to outer space and bringing it back to Earth and recovering it after touchdown in the Bay of Bengal.
   • The test is to be conducted at Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota.
   • Crew Module will carry the astronauts during the Gaganyaan mission to outer space.

   
   

4. Ministry of Commerce and Industry unveils system based automatic ‘status holder’ certificate under Foreign Trade Policy, 2023.
   • Key Features-
   • Now, the exporter will not be required to apply to the office of Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) for a Status Certificate.
   • The export recognition will be provided by the IT system based on available Directorate General of Commercial Intelligence and Statistics (DGCIS) merchandise export electronic data and other risk parameters.
   • Reduces compliance burden and promotes ease of doing business
   • The Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce and Industry will be recognizing about 20,000 exporters under FTP 2023 as Status Holders which will be a quantum jump from the earlier number of 12,518 exporters.

5. Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL) has set up South Asia’s first aircraft recovery training school at Bengaluru airport.
   • The facility is set at the premises of Kempegowda International Airport.
   • It is set up for providing specialised aircraft recovery hands-on training, equipped with state-of-the-art Disabled Aircraft Recovery Equipment (DARE).
   • BIAL will form a strategic partnership with KUNZ GmbH Aircraft Equipment, Germany.

6. Mumbai Airport (Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport) is first in Asia to commission Disabled Aircraft Recovery Kit (DARK) to help stranded aircrafts.
   • The DARK facility includes advance techniques which will require minimal manpower for operating and enhance passenger safety and operational resilience.
   • It will provide more efficient aircraft recovery process.

1. Uttarakhand Chief Minister launched “Rozgar Prayag Portal” at Uttarakhand Youth Mahotsav.
   • Objective- To provide employment opportunities in state on a single portal.
   • ‘Yuva Uttarakhand App’ is also launched to make schemes run by various departments available at one place.
   • An MoU was also signed between Skill Development and Employment Department and IIT Roorkee to upskill the state manpower.
   • IIT Roorkee and Microsoft have provided the technical support for the app.

3. NASA is going to launch Psyche mission, which will travel to an asteroid, on October 12.
   • Objective- to conduct an in-depth study of the asteroid, which could provide valuable insights into the early formation of our planet and the nature of planetary cores
   • Psyche mission is named after an asteroid that orbits the sun in the space region between Mars and Jupiter.
   • This is NASA’s first mission to study an asteroid that has more metal than rock or ice.

1. The Reserve Bank of India announced Open Market Operation (OMO) sale of government securities for managing liquidity in the system.
   • About Open Market Operation-
   • It is a tool of RBI to adjust the rupee liquidity conditions in the market on a durable basis.
   • Reserve Bank sells the government securities when there is excess liquidity in the market, thereby sucking out the rupee liquidity.
   • RBI buys the government securities when there is less liquidity in the system, thereby releasing liquidity into the market.
   • Objective– Maintaining price stability while keeping in mind the objective of growth.

2. GST council reaffirmed 28% tax on online betting and reduced the tax on certain millet-based products.
   • GST on millet flour food preparations – current 18% to 5%
   • The council also ceded the taxation rights on extra neutral alcohol to the States, while lifting the haze on several long-hanging issues.

3. Star Health Insurance has launched a health cover for women that extends coverage to surrogate mothers and egg donors for any complications from assisted reproductive treatment procedures.
   • The policy will be known as Star Women Care Insurance Policy.
   • The policy is available for a sum insured up to 1 crore and is available for females aged between 18 and 75 years.
   • It will be provided to policyholders at no extra cost.
   • The policy will provide coverage for inpatient hospitalization expenses covering post-partum delivery complications for 36 months.
   • The policy will also provide coverage for inpatient hospitalization expenses for any complication for the oocyte donor for 12 months.

4. India Infrastructure Finance Company Limited (IIFCL) sanctioned loans worth 8800 crore to boost civil aviation infrastructure.
   • IIFCL already disbursed 4000 Crore from the 8800 Crore sanctioned amount.
