        • The portal will serve as a dashboard for all activities of DST.
        • DST officials can use Artificial Intelligence (AI) driven technology to analyse Parliament Questions on various parameters including member’s profile.
        • The portal will facilitate real-time, prompt and effective Parliament Questions, Acts of Parliament and Gazette Notifications of Government of India as well as cabinet notes.

  2. Department of Telecom has granted licenses to Jio Satellite Communication and Bharti Enterprises backed OneWeb to provide satellite broadband internet service in India.
      • The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has already granted OneWeb and Jio Satellite the global mobile personal communication by satellite services (GMPCS) licence that is required to offer satellite-based broadband services in India.
      • While Jio Satellite received its ISP license a month back, OneWeb was given the ISP A (national area) and very small aperture terminal (VSAT) licences.

  1. Clean energy has overtaken fossil fuels in global job market as per the International Energy Agency (IEA) World Energy Employment 2023 (WEE 2023) report.

        • Clean Energy Job Growth Surpasses Fossil Fuels:
          • In 2021, clean energy jobs worldwide exceeded those in the traditional fossil fuel sector for the first time, totalling 35 million compared to 32 million in fossil fuels.
        • Global Trends in Job Growth:
          • Clean energy jobs are growing at more than 3.6 times the rate of fossil fuel jobs.
          • Clean energy sectors globally added 4.7 million jobs, outpacing the slower recovery of fossil fuel jobs after layoffs in 2020.
          • India and West Asia were the only major regions to experience growth in both clean energy and fossil fuel employment from 2019 to 2022.

          • India has the third-highest number of workers in the energy sector, following China and the Asia-Pacific regions.
