      • What: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the new campus of Nalanda University near the ancient ruins in Rajgir district of Bihar.

Ancient Nalanda University
- Establishment: Founded by King Kumargupta I in the 5th century CE and remained a centre of learning till the 12th century CE.
- Architecture: It was a Mahavihara (residential and educational buildings). It also includes stupas, shrines, and important artworks in stucco, stone and metal.
- Educational Excellence: It had students from China, Tibet, Central Asia, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Burma, and various other countries from the southeastern parts of Asia.       • The ambitious plan includes doubling the airport’s capacity to accommodate up to 99 lakh (9.9 million) passengers annually from the existing 3.9 MPPA

  1. Madhya Pradesh CM Inaugurates PM Shri Tourism Air Service From Bhopal
      • What: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav launched an intra-state air service to promote tourism.
      • It was launched from Raja Bhoj International Airport in the state capital Bhopal.
      • It is called ‘PM Shri Paryatan Vayu Seva’ and the first flight was flagged off from the capital Bhopal to Jabalpur.
      • The service operated by the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board (MPTB) with two aircraft will connect eight cities across the State- Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, Gwalior, Khajuraho, Ujjain, Rewa, and Singrauli.
