      • Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology Rajeev Chandrasekhar will represent the country at the GPAI meeting in Tokyo for the symbolic takeover from France.

      • Artificial Intelligence is expected to add $967 billion to the Indian economy by 2035. It is also expected to add $450 to $500 billion to India’s GDP by 2025 accounting for 10% of the country’s $5 trillion GDP target.

  1. Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik has approved ‘Prarambh — The Odisha State Policy for Children 2022’ for ensuring and fulfilling the rights of children, particularly in the areas of protection, survival and health, education and development.
      • The policy will further strengthen the state’s commitment to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by ensuring rights of children in the state and will significantly improve the overall wellbeing of children.
      • Mukhyamantri Siksha Puraskar Yojana Award and Scholarship Scheme were also launched by Odisha to promote healthy competition among public schools and to honour academic performance.
      • The annual awards totalling Rs. 100 crores will be given to school students, educational institutions, principals, teachers, and school management committees, for achieving excellence in education.
  2. Northeast India’s first centre of Unani medicine — a traditional medicinal practice among Ayush systems – has been inaugurated at Silchar, Assam.
      • It was handed over to the Central Council for Research in Unani Medicine (CCRUM), an autonomous organisation under the Union Ministry of Ayush.

      • The exhibition will showcase the finest of the silver collection from the Museum Kolding and the National Museum in New Delhi in March 2023.
      • The collaboration and exhibition have taken place under the recently agreed cultural exchange programme between India and Denmark for the years 2022 to 2026.

      • Under this partnership, borrowers can avail the personal loans up to Rs 20 lakhs with a tenure of up to 72 months on the Navi app.
  4. Shriram Life Insurance Company, a private life insurer, has been empanelled as an Annuity Service Provider (ASP) by the Pension Fund Regulatory Development Authority (PFRDA).
