     • India will serve as member of a FAO Fisheries Bureau on ‘Capture Fisheries‘ for the first time in 57 years.
     • India is one of the top fishing nations with over 28 million inland and marine fishers.
   • What is Capture fisheries?
     • It is the practice of the removal of aquatic organisms from natural or enhanced inland waters.

2. Central government has directed schools and higher education institutions to provide study material for all courses in Indian languages digitally within the next 3 years.
   • Objective-
     • To provide students the opportunity to study in their own language.
   • Key points-
     • These directions are in accordance with the National Education Policy (NEP) for promoting multilingualism in education at every level.
     • It provides students with the chance to learn in a natural environment, providing innovative thinking without language barriers.
     • Content creation in local languages will boost this multilingual asset and pave way for its better contribution to ‘Viksit Bharat’ to make our country as developed nation by 2047.
     • Translation of Engineering, Medical, Law, UG, PG and Skill books being done through the ‘Anuvadini AI’ based App.

     • This project will produce sustainable biological aviation fuel or SAF.
     • This pilot project has been set up in the research and development department of Praj Udyog Group in Pirangut Industrial Estate near Pune.

     • CDSL has introduced an upgrade in investor CAS through the ‘Apka CAS – Apki Zubaani’ initiative to enable investors to receive their statements in their preferred language.
       • It is accessible in 23 Indian languages, and provides investors with a unified overview of their securities held in a demat account, presented in their preferred language.
     • Another initiative is the unique multilingual chatbot on CDSL website, ‘CDSL Buddy Sahayta 24*7’.
       • It has been launched to simplify investors’ processes.

   • SEBI Chairperson has also unveiled a thought leadership report titled ‘Reimagine Digital Trust in Capital Markets’.

   • More about Jeevan Dhara-II –
     • Scheme offers guaranteed annuity from inception, and 11 annuity options are available to prospective policyholders.
     • Plan is available for individual aged 20 years to 80 years.
     • It provides life cover during the deferment period and offers a higher annuity rate at higher ages.
     • A loan facility would be available during or after the deferment period under annuity options with the return of premium/purchase price
