      • The Rozgar Mela is organized under the PM Kaushal Vikas Yojana.
  2. Nihonshu is an alcoholic beverage also known as Japanese sake. The Embassy of Japan in New Delhi is seeking a Geographical Indication (GI) tag for nihonshu from India.
      • It is the first time, a product from Japan has filed for a GI tag at the Geographical Indication Registry in Chennai.
      • Nihonshu – an integral part of Japan’s culture and lifestyle – is made from fermenting rice.
      • GI tag is given under the Geographical Indications of Goods (Registration and Protection) Act, 1999.

      • Under the scheme, people will have to pay the principal amount of the current and pending past five years for residential properties, and six years for commercial properties.
      • Benefit – waiver on entire penalty and interest
  4. Maharashtra became the first state in India to develop a website-based Migration Tracking System (MTS) application to track the movement of migrant workers through individual unique identity numbers.
      • Purpose – to ensure the continuity of Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) for migrant beneficiaries, such as children under the age of 18, lactating mothers, and pregnant women who are registered with Anganwadi centres

  1. Australia has approved the commercial cultivation of the genetically modified Indian mustard species called ‘Brassica juncea’ for herbicide tolerance.
      • It is the first time a genetically modified variety of Indian mustard has received commercial approval anywhere in the world.
      • So far, the canola (Brassica napus) is perhaps the only genetically modified mustard variety that has been cleared for commercial application.
