        • Cumulative Roof Top Solar (RTS) installed capacity has increased to 10.4 GW as of November 30, 2023, from 1.8 GW as of March 31, 2019.
        • Share of Gujarat was 3.2 GW, followed by Maharashtra at 1.9 GW and Rajasthan at 1.1 GW capacity.

      • Objective
        • To achieve the goal of insurance for all by 2047 and address gaps in product design, pricing, and distribution.

        • It is a part of the “Insurance Trinity” vision by IRDAI, which includes Bima Sugam (a digital platform) and Bima Vahak (a women-led field distribution force).
        • Bima Vahak, the women-led insurance distribution channel, will be launched alongside Bima Vistaar, with guidelines already issued by IRDAI.
        • IRDAI believes that women “Vahaks” will effectively convey the importance of affordable social security to women in rural households.
        • New technologies like artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) are being employed to create a digital platform for last-mile connectivity in insurance.
