  1. State-owned CESL has achieved a milestone of 50 lakh LED bulb distribution under the flagship Gram Ujala programme.
      • The bulb distribution was conducted under the Project Crore of CESL under the Gram Ujala program.
      • Gram Ujala’s scheme is being implemented in rural households in Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Telangana.

      • The Minister also announced to set up ‘BRO Cafes’ at 75 places, under the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’.
      • These Cafes will showcase the local traditions and facilities such as food, parking, sitting area, souvenir shops, medical inspection rooms and photo galleries.

  1. Karnataka govt has partnered with National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) and State Bank of India for implementing e-RUPI for the payment of scholarships to students in the state.
      • e-RUPI would be used to ensure a leak-proof delivery of education fees of eligible students by paying digitally to the college/institute by the state government.
      • SBI is one of the leading bank in the implementation of e-RUPI by aiding the state govt.
  2. Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel has launched a health service management centre (HSMC) for monitoring various national and state-level health schemes.
      • Purpose – to monitor the benefits received under various government schemes such as Pradhan Mantri Jan Aarogya Yojana (PMJAY), Mukhyamantri Amrutam (MA) scheme, nutrition-related schemes, maternal and child health schemes, and other similar government schemes, in addition to tracking the number of beneficiaries enrolled.
      • It will also monitor and review the free diagnostic treatment given to patients such as screening for non-communicable diseases.
      • The website of the Gujarat Epidemic Response Management Information System (GERMIS) was also launched in Gandhinagar.
      • GERMIS, a portal under HSMC, is a control and command centre for monitoring the daily availability of hospital beds, ventilators, and oxygen beds in the state’s public and private Covid hospitals and make the information available to the public.
  3. Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar has launched the Haryana Kaushal Rozgar Nigam portal.
      • Haryana Kaushal Rozgar Nigam Limited has been incorporated under the Companies Act, 2013 in October, 2021.
      • It act as the authorized agency for providing contractual manpower to all Government entities in Haryana in a transparent, robust and equitable manner.
      • Haryana govt has also announced the setting up of Atal Park and Smriti Kendra in Gurugram.
      • On the occasion of Good Governance Day, a magazine ‘Vyavastha Parivartan Se Susashan’ – along with the 2022 official calendar – was also launched.
      • ‘CM Window’ resolves the problems of the public.
  4. The first ever ‘J&K Real Estate Summit- 2021’ was held at Convention Centre, Jammu.
      • Organizers – Department of Housing & Urban Development, Jammu and Kashmir, in collaboration with the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs.

  1. Foundation stone of Dhaulasidh Hydro Project on Beas river in Dhaulasidh, Hamirpur district, Himachal Pradesh was laid. 1st dam in Hamirpur district.
      • Foundation stones of Luhri Stage-I Hydropower Project on Sutlej river, and Sawra-Kuddu Hydropower project on Pabbar river (a tributary of Yamuna) were also laid in Himachal Pradesh.
      • Foundation stone of Sunni Dam on Sutlej river was also laid.
      • All of these projects will be developed by Sutlej Jal Vidyut Nigam at a cost of Rs 11,000 crores.

  1. Bank of Maharashtra has signed a co-lending arrangement with MAS Financial Services (NBFC) for providing credit to MSMEs.
      • In 2018, RBI had approved the model for co-lending by NBFCs (Non-Banking Financial Companies – Non-Deposit taking – Systemically Important) and Banks to the priority sectors.
  2. IndusInd Bank has launched the ‘Green Fixed Deposits’.
      • The bank will use these FDs to lend to projects and firms supporting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

      • The awards are given by the Harmony Foundation to individuals and organisations who work for environmental sustainability.
  2. ICAR-National Bureau of Animal Genetic Resources, Karnal, has given the National Breed Conservation Award, 2021.
      • Winner – All India Co-ordinated Research Project (AICRP) on poultry breeding, Mannuthy, under the Kerala Veterinary and Animal Science University (KVASU)
        • Reason – for the conservation and research activities on the Tellicherry breed, the only registered native chicken breed in Kerala.
      • The award was given on Kisan Diwas (December 23), organized by ICAR-NBAGR.
