      • The Model Retail Outlet Scheme has been launched to offer best services to the customers.
      • The scheme aims to benchmark Retail Outlet standards for ensuring standardized customer facilities through these initiatives.
      • The Retail Outlets have been divided into 4 categories based on sales performance, facilities offered and their percentage of digital transactions at the point of sale in keeping with the Digital India imperative.
      • Top performers will be awarded the “Shresth” and “Uttam”, Awards by the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas and the “Rajya Sarv Pratham” awards by the respective Oil Companies.
      • These companies have also launched the Digital Customer Feedback Program called Darpan@petrolpump.
  2. Export-Import Bank of India (Exim Bank) has committed a credit line of $100 million for domestic manufacturers of Covid-19 vaccines.
      • Two Hyderabad-based players — Bharat Biotech and Biological E Ltd — are involved in the development of Covid-19 vaccines.
  3. RBI has approved the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC), to raise its stake in private lender Kotak Mahindra Bank up to 9.99%.
      • Currently, the life insurer holds 4.96% in the private lender.

  7. Paytm Payments Bank Limited has launched Paytm Transit Card, which is linked to the Paytm wallet of users.
      • The card will take care of users’ everyday needs — from travel in metro, railways, state-owned bus services, toll & parking charges to payments at merchants and online shopping.
      • The card also enables withdrawal of money from ATMs.
      • The Paytm Transit Card rollout is being launched in collaboration with Hyderabad Metro Rail.
