- To boost the economy and trade, make rivers and other inland water routes usable as channels.
- Key points–
- Of this ₹45,000 crore, an estimated ₹35,000 crore has been earmarked for cruise vessels and another ₹10,000 crore for development of cruise terminal infrastructure.
- Union Minister has also launched ‘Harit Nauka’ guidelines for Green Transition of Inland Vessels and ‘River Cruise Tourism Roadmap, 2047’ at the inaugural session of IWDC.

- Details of Yogyasree Scheme-
- It is a new welfare scheme for students aimed at providing training for various entrance and competitive exams.
- 50 centres will be opened across the state where SC and ST students will be able to take training completely free of cost for competitive examinations.
- Similar 46 centres will offer free training to SC and ST students aspiring for government jobs, civil services etc.
