Government e-Marketplace

Government e-Marketplace (GeM) is to facilitate on line procurement of common use Goods & Services required by various Government Departments / Organizations / PSUs.
GeM is dynamic, self-sustaining and user friendly portal for making procurement by Government officers.
It was launched by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry in August 2016.
The Ministry has launched third version of the Government e-Marketplace (GeM 3.0)
The purchases through GeM by Government users have been authorized and made mandatory by Ministry of Finance by adding a new Rule No. 149 in the General Financial Rules, 2017.

Make In India Campaign (Ministry of Commerce and Industry)

Make in India, a type of Swadeshi movement was launched by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry on 25 September 2014.
It aims at promoting India as an important investment destination and a global hub for manufacturing, design and innovation.

It is a country-wide multimedia awareness campaign on various issues related to consumer rights and responsibilities across diverse subjects.

Antyodaya Anna Yojana

AAY contemplates identification of poorest of the poor families from amongst the number of BPL families covered under TPDS (Targeted Public Distribution System) and providing them food grains at a highly subsidized rate.

Price Stabilization Fund Scheme

The Price Stabilization Fund was set up to help regulate the price volatility of important agri-horticultural commodities like onion, potatoes and pulses were also added subsequently.
The agricultural ministry has recently proposed to include Milk in the PSF which is not yet confirmed.

PM Jan Dhan Yojana

It is a flagship financial inclusion scheme which facilitates the opening of bank accounts with zero balance for every household to ensure access to financial services in an affordable manner.
The slogan of the Scheme is “Mera Khatha, Bhagya Vidhatha” (meaning “My account brings me a good fortune”).
It is launched in 2014 for 4 years and was later approved to continue beyond.
Department of Financial Services under the Ministry of Finance is the implementing agency.
