PM- Bhartiya Jan Aushadhi Pariyojana

To provide quality medicines at affordable prices to all sections of the society, Jan Aushadhi campaign was started in 2008 under the scheme ‘Jan Aushadhi Scheme’ but not achieved its objectives.
The first JAS (Jan Aushadhi Store) was opened at Amritsar Civil Hospital in 2008.
In September 2015, the ‘Jan Aushadhi Scheme’ was revamped as ‘Pradhan Mantri Jan Aushadhi Yojana’ (PMJAY) which is an effective implementation.
In November 2016, to give further boost to the scheme, it was again renamed as “Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Jan Aushadhi Pariyojana” (PMBJP).

Pharma Jan Samadhan Scheme

The pharma Jan Samadhan Scheme is a part of Government of India’s ‘Digital India’
It is a web enabled system for redressal of consumers’ grievances relating to pricing and availability of medicines.
It was launched in March 2015.
It is created by (National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority).
NPPA is an authority of Department of Pharmaceuticals under Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers.
It would serve as a robust e-governance tool for protection of consumers’ interests through effective implementation of the Drugs (Price Control) Order 2013.

Neem Coating policy of Urea

Urea is an important supplier of nitrogen, which is necessary for the development of plants. But only 30-40 per cent of nitrogen present in the urea is utilized by crops. The rest gets degraded.
To check nitrogen, some chemicals, which are very costly, coated over urea. Neem also has properties that check nitrogen loss at each stage. Coating Urea with Neem oil or Neem cake has been proved to be an effective natural alternative to these chemicals.
To promote neem coated urea, Government has introduced a policy.
